News: Maidenhead - Neighbourhood Watch
War Graves Commission Building When I first moved to Maidenhead in the 70's one of the planners said to me we have enough offices in Maidenhead and if we gave into demand we would have to build on like the War Graves Commission every year. I wish they had. Looking at the rest they are a bit poor in style and don't look as though they will be around for thirty years of more. It's a shame the building sort of looks as though it is a serious business, which of course it is. Graffiti
Is a real pain, it makes street look shabby and derelict, not a way to treat the neighbourhood. Maidenhead have a team which costs £50,000 per year to keep going. So use them................... The Royal Borough's action against graffiti reflects local concern about anti-social behaviour in our community. The Streetcare Operations Task Force is a specially-trained and equipped team which acts fast to remove graffiti and flyposting effectively from public areas and council property The team can also remove graffiti from private property and business premises, although there is a charge for this service and you will be asked to sign an indemnity form before work can get under way. What can you do to help?
To report graffiti or request the Operations Task Force to remove graffiti from your premises, call 01628 796803 or email streetcare@rbwm.gov.uk When reporting graffiti or flyposting, give details of the exact location, the extent of the vandalism and the surface affected. The council indicate that they are interested in Racist or Offensive graffitii, so you can assume that if its not there is a priority system. Basically report it as offensive. call 01628 796803 or email streetcare@rbwm.gov.uk They will do they best to remove racist or offensive graffiti within one working day of notification and within five working days from other areas that are the council's responsibility. |
