The snow has at last disappeared, and (touch wood) our community centre buildings have withstood the worst of this winter's cold. We discovered quickly that some of our pipes weren't lagged, and many thanks go to our plumber.
In the worst of the weather he defrosted our water tank and changed a cracked pipe -saving us from much more damage when the ice finally melted.
Like a lot of organisations we had to close for a few days, and unfortunately vandals took advantage once more. Several panes of glass were broken in the older windows around the Barn, so we had to call out a glazier as well. And notify the police once again

We're piloting a small teashop with a hirer in our Education Unit over the Spring and Summer - just on Saturdays to start with and when the trains are running.  11am - 4pm. 

The Education Unit is on the end of the Bullpens opposite the paddock.  Come for morning coffee with muffins, croissants and pan au chocolat.  Or an old English afternoon cream tea with homemade scones and cup cakes.  Wheat free and gluten free cakes and bread are available, and orders can be taken for any speciality bread and cakes.  Phone 07932 087 354 for more information.

Welcome to Viables Community Association.  Part of the Viables Craft Centre site in South Basingstoke, our facilities are uniquely placed in attractive surroundings.  Leased from Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, the site was once a farm and still has many of the old farm buildings.

Our facilities are for hire for both private and public functions, and our regular groups provide a range of activities for you to join.  We also run events throughout the year, to which you are very welcome.
