A murder investigation has started after a man was found dead in a Berkshire hotel room.

Police were called to the Kingswood Hotel in Boyn Hill Avenue, Maidenhead, at 0445 GMT where the body of the 21-year-old was discovered.

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of murder, a spokesman for Thames Valley Police said.

A post-mortem examination on the man's body is expected to be carried out by a Home Office pathologist later.

Update

It seems the death was not murder but an overdose of alcohol on the previous evening, the hotel resturant is still not opened.
