The Institute Pages

Any organisation of any size is likely to have a complex structure, this structure represents the relationships in the departmental heirarchy of the organisation. However, recent research by the academic community has identifiied a more interesting structure that underlies the relationships that we all have with our own organisation and external bodies such as professional institurions.

These institurions are represented by the Head Quarters buildings, membership and governing committees. Once this is established the structure requires a great deal more flexibility to meet the various needs of the membership.

Members are located in regions and in specialistions, we need to be able to meet and understand the members needs and to encourage the members to participate in the life of the institution. How many professional bodies can encourage the geographicaly remoter sections of their membership.

How these example pages are structured

We assume that the institute, association or federation has a central membership function located in a suitably impressive building and location. This provides all of the neccessary central services for the day to day management and finance or the organisation. Once this is established the total membership of the organisation rests with this entitiy.

Other pages represent the geographical spread of the organsiation we have set one up for the City of London a compact enviromnent, one for the West End a different business and one for the South West and Bristol a more diveres with more distances involved..
