Join us for one of BCOT's Autumn courses at Viables. They're taking enrolments now!






MONDAYS from 10am to 12pm. DRESSMAKING - MIXED ABILITIES.

Learn the basic skills needed to create a garment. These include choosing the right fabric and patterns, cutting out and fitting, and the sewing methods and techniques used to put garments together.

This is now a mixed abilities class, suitable for beginners and more experienced students alike. It runs for ten weeks, starting on September 20th.



TUESDAYS from 10am to 12pm. WATER COLOUR PAINTING.

Increase your knowledge of colour and learn about the different watercolour papers and their uses. You will also look at different brush techniques and texturing to achieve a variety of effects.


You can discuss the course content at the beginning and if you want to cover a particular aspect such as Landscape, Still Life etc, this could be included in this course or a follow on course.
It runs for eight weeks, starting on 21st September.




TUESDAYS from 10am to 11.30am. YOGA - MIXED ABILITIES.

As well as practising yoga postures, you will develop an awareness of the way your breath flows and of how to release tension. Calm and focus your mind through simple meditation. This course runs for 10 weeks from 21st September.




WEDNESDAYS from 10am to 12pm. DRESSMAKING SKILLS - MIXED ABILITIES.

This is a mixed ability course. If you are a beginner you can learn basic dressmaking skills. If you already have some experience, you'll be shown how to improve and extend your skills to achieve a professional finish. A ten week course starting on 22nd September.



THURSDAYS from 10am to 12pm. CARD MAKING - MIXED ABILITIES.

Suitable for both complete beginners and people with some previous experience of card making. This course covers basic card making techniques so that you can create a range of cards for all occasions.


You'll learn how to make folded and shaped cards; composition; 3-D decoupage; colouring mediums; and choosing & using your tools and materials. This five week course starts on 23rd September.




THURSDAYS from 10am to 12pm. RUBBER STAMPING.

This course will cover basic rubber stamping techniques for use in card making, as well as making gifts for friends and family such as wall hangings, canvases, and mini books. You can also decorate and alter items you have found around the house. It runs for five weeks from 4th November.
