Like to share your love of books with others? Join other members for a couple of hours in this very central cafe-bar as we share our opinions of this month's selected book and decide on what to read in the coming months. We take it in turns to nominate a few books for consideration.

The book choice for our March meeting is The Quiet American by Graham Greene

Narrated in the first person by journalist Thomas Fowler, the novel depicts the breakdown of French colonialism in Vietnam and early American involvement in the Vietnam War.

First published in 1956 and twice adapted to film, The Quiet American remains a terrifiying and prescient portrait of innocence at large. 

We look forward to welcoming you to this informal group to discuss the book while sipping wine or enjoying coffee and cake!  Our Readers' Group meets on the second to last Wednesday of the month.
