Tuesday Night - Club AGM at The Red Lion Hotel

Tuesday 28 Nov 2017
19:00 to 22:30
The Snug Area (back of front bar), Red Lion Hotel, London Street (Top of Town), Basingstoke, RG21 7LX
RG21 7LX       (Map)
England

The committee warmly invites you to the most important Tuesday Clubnight of the year - the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM is being held in the Snug area at the back of the front bar of the Red Lion Hotel in London Street (Top of Town), Basingstoke.

There is a buffet of sandwiches and chips available from 7.00pm for those members coming straight from work. The meeting will start around 7.30 - 7.45 or when we have a quorum of members (8 people) present.

We will continue with club night as usual from around 9.00pm.

This is your chance to comment on the running of the club by attending tonight's annual meeting and hearing about what the Club has done in the last year. You also get to vote for next year's committee and give the committee new ideas for what you want to do in 2018.

Among the subjects to be discussed we will be considering ...

  1. Financial Accounts for 2016/17 + Outline budgets for next year
  2. Officer reports
  3. Constitution - Change the name of the club to "Basingstoke Friends" (Article 1.)
  4. Constitution - Change the end of financial year to 31st December (Article 39)
  5. Constitution - Change AGM month to February (Article 31)
  6. Discussion of the fees for membership of the club and methods of payment.
  7. Election of Committee Officers

Don't forget that all committee posts are up for grabs and if you would like to find out more about the committee roles just ask.

There is free parking in the Red Lion Hotel car park ... but you must register at reception on arrival.

The hotel can be found in the pedestrianized area heading towards the Triumphal Gates and Council Offices end of the top of town. We have exclusive use of the Snug area at the back of the front bar for the evening. New and prospective members are welcome ... but only fully paid up members (£15 per year) are entitled to vote. The Committee are hosting the evening  from 7.00pm.
