Come along on Saturday 1st July for a day trip to Dorset to see the sights of Corfe Castle, Durdle Door & Lulworth Cove! About the day We will getting a coach to Dorset to explore three of it's most famous places:
Corfe Castle The dramatic ruins of Corfe Castle stand on a natural hill guarding the principal route through the Purbeck Hills. Dating back to the 11th century, it was partially destroyed in the English Civil War in 1645. The gothic remains give fantastic views across the surrounding countryside. The picturesque village of Corfe sits at it's base.
Durdle Door & Man O'War Beach Durdle Door is a natural rock formation in the shape of an arch that looks like an elephant dipping its trunk into the sea. Man O'War Beach is next door and is ideal for swimming if you fancy it!
Lulworth Cove Lulworth Cove is a beautiful natural cove on the Jurassic Coast. It is a World Heritage Site and among the most spectacular coastal areas in the UK. Lulworth Cove is about 1 mile along the coast from Durdle Door, so we will walk between the two.
